Born in France in 1975, Rachel Morellet lives and works in St Pierre des Champs and Capraia e Limite.
An artist but also a restorer of contemporary art, Rachel uses various techniques, photography, video, drawing, sculpture or assemblages of found elements. She compares moments of her own biographical path, with ideas, symbols and universal concepts, in a continuous search for the hidden meaning of things. She proposes to us through a constant self-critical look seasoned with irony, her desire to find a contact, to reach a complementarity, to identify a gap that can loosen the rifts between the perception of our daily rites and actions, and that of their multiple meanings .
Since 2016 she is part of the collective group FAMA-Four Artists for a Metastable Art. Since 2013 she is curator and artist at the Artforms space, part of Puntocon-contemporaneo condiviso, network of independent spaces in Prato,(Italy).
